Our History
Our co-op got started in 2022, when our members met at a Green Infrastructure training program. Coming from highly diverse backgrounds, we shared our experience working in landscaping, construction, horticulture, and maintenance, and brought it all together to meet the challenge of landscaping in the era of climate change. We are an immigrant and minority owned worker-owned cooperative in Boston, motivated by our desire to reduce energy and water usage, cool urban environments, and create beautiful spaces for people and pollinators.

Our Members
Said El Abassi
Said moved to Everett from his home country of Morocco. He brings experience in horticulture, small equipment operation, procurement and logistics to the co-op, as well as his university training in hospitality and government. Said holds NGICP Certification in Green Infrastructure, and is a graduate of the UMass Green School in Landscape Management. He is also an expert beekeeper, with more than 15 years experience tending hives, and is currently studying to be a Master Beekeeper at Cornell University.
Migel Olivacce
Migel brings to the co-op years of experience in customer service and sales, earning several accolades in retail services. He arrived in the Boston area from his home of Dominica and quickly started leading teams, developing a talent for management and employee relations. He has worked in a wide variety of industries, including food distribution, construction supply chains, and landscaping, and has experience in both large and small organizations.
Juan "JT" Tabares
JT is a seasoned entrepreneur with experience in landscaping, construction, driving & delivery, food service, and other industries. JT is a graduate of UMass Amherst Extension Green School in Landscape Management, and brings to the co-op enthusiasm and experience in management and team building, with a focus on client services. JT moved to the US from Columbia and currently lives in East Boston.
